From the original Native American tribes to Spanish explorers, pioneers to modern inventors, this California history timeline covers over 500 years of California history! Twenty-nine fascinating events and individuals—including Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo, Junípero Serra, Kit Carson, Jedediah Strong Smith, the Bear Flag Revolt, the Gold Rush, the Transcontinental Railroad, John Muir, and many more—will reinforce these milestones in the history of the Golden State. By year's end it becomes a student portfolio piece, documenting every milestone your student has studied.
Students cut and color the detailed drawings and paste them on three 6” x 34” cardstock strips which are scored and able to fold for convenient storage.
A Note on Student Materials
Each student should have their own California Timeline. The timeline is designed to be completed individually as part of each student's personal learning portfolio.
Each student should also have their own California Notebook and California Map and as part of the full California History (4-6).
